| ARRAS |
Arras is in the Artois area, where the Scarpe and Crinchon rivers meet.
This city, the capital of Pas-de-Calais, is particularly famous for its Flemish-baroque-style squares which are the sumptuous backdrop for the Town Hall and the Belfry, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Arras has a surprisingly rich heritage. There are unusual places to visit: not only under your feet (underground caverns dug out in the 10th century) but also above your head (the panorama from the top of the belfry).
You can find out more about the town at the art gallery, the tunnels and the military and religious heritage sites. Thematic guided tours are organized throughout the year.
