Les Misérables is a show that brings Montreuil to life. Victor Hugo’s shadow is seen again under Montreuil’s high trees – where he found the inspiration for his best-loved work.

Hundreds of the locals wear the costumes of their forebears and the characters from the novel. Mixing reality and fiction, history and literary life, all are brought together under the magic of the medieval city ramparts. An original idea directed by Dominique Martens and adapted from Victor Hugo’s novel.

A 90-minute show staged in the Citadel (starts at 10.30 pm).
