Discovering Napoleon at the Château Musée,

The Chateau Musée in Boulogne-sur-Mer holds in its collection about a hundred of items related to the Napoleonic period.
Boulogne having played an important role in the setting up of the Empire, this collection recounts the action of Napoléon Bonaparte in the area and presents an overall view on the Napoleonic period.
The exhibition also features items loaned from other private and public collections.
With the support of “Association des Amis du Patrimoine Napoléonien”, the exhibition “A la découverte de Napoléon” presents the key themes linked both to local and national history. Visitors will learn about the role of Boulogne’s Camp, the ceremony of the Légion d’Honneur, the main battles, the “Empire” style.
